Making an inventory of and reducing CO2-emissions are important components of our CSR policy. In 2011, Eldra started the CO2-performance ladder certification scheme. To this end, Eldra has set up a programme to make an inventory of the company's carbon footprint (the total quantity of CO2-emissions per year). This will make it possible to take effective measures to reduce CO2-output. In this way, Eldra is contributing to creating a sustainable society.

The CO2-performance ladder has five certifiable levels, each with a number of set requirements and based on four lines of approach: 

  • Insight into the company's own carbon footprint
  • CO2-reduction targets
  • Transparency
  • Participation
