ELDRA - CSR

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

The role of companies in society is increasingly becoming a topic of discussion in the business sector. Whereas efficiency and cost reduction used to be the primary considerations for many companies to adopt sustainable business practices, nowadays they are mainly motivated by attitude and conduct. Eldra has always been aware of its social duty to promote sustainability and has made Corporate Social Responsibility one of its strategic priorities for the coming years. To Eldra, CSR means taking account of the impact that its business activities and operations have on People, Plant, Profit and Positioning:

  • People: the social aspect of conducting a business
  • Planet: concern for the environment and climate
  • Profit: the economic aspect of conducting a business
  • Positioning: the place and distinctiveness of a company in the world in which it operates

Eldra has an integrated approach to the “four Ps” and continually tests whether it meets the related criteria in the opinion of all its stakeholders. Partly because of this, intensified attention has been paid to CO2 output in recent months. Eldra's effort to obtain certification on the CO2 Performance Ladder is one of the results of the CO2 reduction programme.

Eldra makes capacity and resources available in order to devote the necessary attention to CSR. Employees are educated and trained so that they can make an effective contribution in this respect within their own area of responsibility. Eldra realises that the expectations of its stakeholders depend on their own situations. For this reason, Eldra sees CSR not as a final goal, but as an ongoing process.
