As you know, Eldra places great importance on Corporate Social Responsibility, or CSR. One important aspect of CSR is taking inventory and reducing CO2 emissions. In 2011, Eldra started tot CO2 performance ladder certification process. This involved introducing a programme for measuring Eldra's carbon footprint, or the total amount of greenhouse gases of CO2 emitted annually.
On Tuesday 20 September, the certification authority KEMA evaluated Eldra on the basis of the CO2 performance ladder's "Carbon Footprint" requirements. Eldra passed with flying colours! This evaluation allows Eldra to formulate clear and concrete goals for reducing its CO2 emissions. This is a major way for Eldra to live up to its social responsibilities. And because of the successful evaluation, Eldra expects to receive level 3 certification on the CO2 performance ladder in December 2011.
